In 2022, the Board of Directors saw the need to renovate a downtown building into an office and a place to call the Big Lake EDC home.  After discussing many ideas, thoughts, designs, and considering the available budget, a plan was put into place and the renovation began.  With a successful business under the same roof, it was decided to completely renovate the existing building down to the studs, remove some walls and relocate others to make the property a much better, safer and cleaner space.

In October, 2022, the move finally started.  After approximately 2 months of cleaning and moving over 20 years of files, papers, furniture and things collected through the years, 309 E. 2nd Street became the permanent home to the Big Lake EDC.  The property now houses 3 businesses under 1 roof and will pave way for a cleaner and more beautiful downtown area that Big Lake can be proud of.
